In accordance with the Decree of the RF President D.Medvedev and the Ordinance of the RF Prime-Minister V.Putin, the Russian Academy of Public Administration under the RF President  has been incorporated into the Academy of National Economy under the RF Government. A new education establishment, the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration under the RF President, has been founded as a result of this incorporation. Vladimir Mau, Rector of the Academy of National Economy, has been appointed Rector of the new institution. Congratulations!

The journal “Managerial Accounting and Finance” (03/23, 2010) published the article of two SHFM’s professors, M.Limitovskiy and V.Minasyan, “Development and Application of Iteration Algorithms of Determining Structure and Evaluating Cost of Capital”. Key words: capital structure, equity, debt, discounting, financial leverage, investments, forecast period, profit tax rate, economically isolated project. This article is an updated version of the research report presented by M.Limitovskiy at the International Conference on Management Problems organised by the St.Petersburg State University.  18.10.2010

A ceremonial launch of the PMBA-Finance programme took place in the Higher School of Finance and Management. This programme is an organic combination of two main programmes of SHMF, i.e. the School of Financial Director and the MBA programme. As usual, the Dean of SHFM addressed the PMBA students not only presenting the Academy and the programme, but also trying to shatter certain myths of financial management. Both the myths and the arguments against them were of equal interest to the students. At least, it became clear to them why they had decided to study in the Higher School of Finance and Management of the Academy of National Economy. 13.10.2010
